12 Schools Begins Battle for Independence Cup in Kogi
SavidNews.com in partnership with Gee-Touch World and Events and Kogireports.com is organising football tournament tagged “The Independence Cup” to marking the Nigeria 53rd Independence day has commenced on Tuesday in Lokoja.
The football competition is expected to begin Tuesday 24th September with the finals slated for Ist October, 2013, the Nigeria Independence Day.
The eight secondary schools participating are Scintillate College Lokoja, Christfield College Lokoja, Arigbede College Lokoja, Kings and Queens College Lokoja, Government Day Secondary School Lokoja, Al-Ansar College Lokoja and Baptist College Lokoja.
Others are Crowther Memorial College Lokoja, Baptist College Lokoja, Army Day Secondary School and Freedon Faith School Lokoja.
The CEO of Gee-Touch World and Events, Grace Adamu said that the organising of the football tournament was in spirit of celebrating Nigeria’s 63rd Independence Day.
While stressing the firm’s ambition in promoting grassroots Sports and talents, Adamu noted that the aims of Events managing firm, Gee-Touch World and Events are tuned towards meeting the unlimited needs of the Nigerian populace at all works of life.
She added that the firm’s partnership with online media platforms – Kogireports.com and SavidNews.com was in common passion of encouraging sports development at the grassroot level and getting well-to-do individauals in Kogi state involved in the discovery of football talents.
“We are happy organising this Football event – our firm loves to touch lives at various facets and now we intend to encourage and discover grassroot talents through tournament like this.

The Independence Cup which was organised by one of Nigeria’s leading event managing company, Gee-Touch World and Events, are in collaboration with two online tabliods – KogiReports.com and SavidNews.com.
