175 illegal migrants arrested by Libyan Coast Guards

Libyan coast guards on Monday arrested 175 African migrants who were trying to enter Europe illegally on board two small boatslibya.

A spokesperson for the Libyan Marine, Col. Adoub Kassem, told the Libyan Information Agency that the first boat was stopped at about 22 km to the north-east of Tripoli with 90 migrants on board.

The second boat, stopped in the north-west of the capital, had 85 migrants on board.

According to Col. Kassem, the illegal migrants who came from Somalia, Mali, Senegal, Gambia and Cote d’Ivoire, were taken to the Commission in charge of ilIegal migration in Tripoli.
