2013 Confederations Cup: Stade Malien grabs last semi-final slot

Stade Malien of Mali snatched the last semi-final slot Sunday in the 2013 CAF Confederations Cup despite drawing 0-0 with CS Sfaxien of Tunisia.

The draw gave the Malians eight points and second place in Group A from where Sfaxien qualified as Group leaders with 14 points.

In the other Group A match, St. Georges of Ethiopia (four points and last on the table), also drew goalless with Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia who earned six points and third place.

Other semi-finalists are TP Mazembe of DR Congo, who won Group B Saturday with 10 points, and CA Bizertin of Tunisia, the Group B Runners-up with eight points.

The semi-final fixtures, which will be played over two legs (with Group winners hosting the second leg) are as follows:-

CA Bizertin, Tunisia (Group B Runners up) vs CS Sfaxien (Group A winners).
Stade Malien, Mali (Group A Runners-up) vs TP Mazembe, DR Congo (Group B winners).

The first leg will be played 4-6 October and the second leg 18-20 October.
