2013 Federation Cup: NFF Moves match from Akure to Benin

The Nigeria Football Federation has move the 2013 Federation Cup clash between Confluence Queens of Lokoja and FC Real Dynamos earlier scheduled for Akure Township stadium to Samuel Ogbemudia stadium in Benin.

SavidNews Nigeria gathered that the change of venue was in NFF’s view to avert match fixing after complains of match-fixing presented by Nasarawa Amazons who are expected to play Sunshine Queens of Akure on Thursday in the Round of 32.

Similarly, Confluence Queens of Lokoja was initially billed to tackle FC Real Dynamos in Akure abode of Sunshine Queens.

According to source, Nasarawa Amazons suspected a conspiracy to edge out between the Lokoja and Akure based clubs.

With the new decision for change of venue, Confluence Queens will be playing in Benin by 4pm after the ending of the earlier tie between Super six defending champions, Delta Queens and C.I. Angels.
