2013 Flood: “I’m fully Charge of Kogi,” Says Wada

Captain Idris Wada has insisted that he is fully in control as the governor of Kogi state amidst growing doubts after eighteen months in the Lugard House.

The Kogi State governor made the statement on Tuesday while marking the 22nd Anniversary of Kogi State following question over the interference of previous government.

Captain Idris Wada who was substantively elected as successor of Alhaji Ibrahim Idris in 2011 before installed in Janury 27, 2012 following a supreme court verdict ordering the sack five governors including that of Kogi.

According to Governor Wada on question over perception his not in charge, “Wrong, I’m in Charge – I believe in continuity and for that can abandon projects to advertise myself – I will be defrauding the people of Kogi State by neglected project to begin my own”.

“People want me and the former governor to act as enemies by not even greeting each other even when we are of PDP – we are working together as friends in the interest of developing kogi state,” he maintained.
