2014WCQ: Eagles’ are ready, no injury doubts – Keshi
Stephen Keshi has declared his team is injury-free and battle ready for the second leg of the World Cup qualifier against Ethiopia on Saturday.
Despite growing fears over the fitness of Kenneth Omeruo and Brown Ideye, Keshi told journalists at the end of his team’s final training session on Friday morning that he has a full-house to pick from for the crucial World Cup qualification showdown.
While stressing his side’s readiness for the encounter, Keshi insisted that his team is focused on playing the Ethiopians like its the African Cup of Nations final as they will not be underrating nor allowing complacence overwhelm them.
He then called on Nigerians to give the team the needed moral and physical supports by coming out in mass to cheer the Super Eages to victory.
It would be recalled that Stephen Keshi was appointed the Head coach of the Super Eagles in November 2011 and will be desperate to enter his third year on the high by qualify Nigeria to the Brazil 2014 World Cup after winning the AFCON 2013 in South Africa earlier in the year.
Nigeria versus Ethiopia will be played on Saturday at the U.J. Esuene stadium in Calabar by 4pm Nigerian time.
