2015 Polls: Accord Party announces victorious candidates in Kogi Primaries

Accord Party in Kogi on Wednesday picked its candidates for the 2015 General Elections through affirmation with Bamidele Aro as the party’s standard bearer for Kogi West Senatorial district.

SavidNews gathered that the exercise was conducted by Alhaji Nda Mohammed, the party’s National Vice President for the North-Central and his South-West counterpart as well as delegates who thronged the Lokoja children amusement park.

Former member of Kogi House of Assembly, Salaudeen Ganiyu (Erukutu) clinched the Yagba Federal Constituency ticket to the House of Representatives.

Monday Sesere and Usman Mohammed picked the tickets for Kabba-Bunu and Lokoja/Koton-Karfe Federal Constituencies.

Others are Folusho Daniels for Mopa-Muro state constituency of the Kogi House of Assembly; Augustine Aiyelabowo, ; Augustine Aiyelabowo, agba East; Bode Olorunshola, Yagba West; Olumoko Funsho, Ijumu and Julius Arokoyo, Kabba-Bunu.

INEC representative at the conference who preferred anonymity said: “We don’t have a say but to observe and report accordingly because this is an intra-party affair.

Also speaking, Alhaji Nda Mohammed, National Vice President, North-Central said the conduct was transparent adding that the party was out to emancipate the over 80 per cent down-trodden Nigerian population denied of good governance.

He described the party as a change agent out to alter the economic status quo and give Nigerians hope.

Aro in his speech said Kogi West had suffered had suffered untold hardship as a result of poor representation pledging that he would render an account of his stewardship in the first 100 days and would continue that way. (NAN)
