2022 Africa Volleyball C’Ship: Nigeria Customs Service make bright start in Tunisia

The Sports Secretary of Nigeria Customs Service, Samuel Onikeku is excited about the winning start of the Customs men’s volleyball team at the 2022 African Men’s Volleyball Club Championship in Kelibia, Tunisia.

Representing the West African nation, Nigeria Customs Service crushed Equity Bank of Kenya 3-0 (25-21, 25-12, 25-19) in their opening match on Sunday.

The Customs Service men thrilled the fans at Kelibia as they fought hard to take the first set by 25-21.

A compact Custom’s team resumed the second set dispatching Equity Bank of Kenya 25-12.

Equity Bank gave Customs of Nigeria a good fight in the third set but the Nigeria giant won by 25-19.

Reacting to the win, Samuel Onikeku said the team has shown determination and zeal in their win against Equity Bank of Kenya adding that the Service is proud of them.

Nigeria will continue their campaign at the championship with another showdown against Port Doula of Cameroon on Monday by 5pm.
