Milo Basketball: Kogi, Kano, Adamawa girls reach semi final at Confluence Conference

Hosts Kogi, Adamawa and Kano booked a place in the semi final in the Confluence Conference of the ongoing Milo Secondary Schools Basketball Championship in Lokoja on Monday.

Kogi and Kano emerged winner and runners up respectively in Group A, while already progressed Adamawa State await either Jigawa or Plateau to finish as Group B runners-up at the Indoor Hall of Confluence Stadium, Lokoja.

Both Jigawa and Plateau will have to fight out their place in the last four slot in the 18th edition of the grassroots championship.

Earlier in the last eight round, girls of Harmony Secondary School, Lokoja representing Kogi State defeated their counterparts from Jigawa 43-24. While Kano Girls narrowly edged Plateau by 15-13.

It was a drab game between Yobe and Jigawa which ended 7-6 in favor of the Dutse girls.

The final is expected to be decided on Thursday with eventual winners from both Male and Female categories represent the conference at the national finals slated for Lagos later in the year.
