4 die, 3 survives Okene road crash in Kogi

At least four souls perished while two others escaped unhurt in an auto crash which occurred at Ogaminana area of Adavi Local Government Area of Kogi State.

Witnesses said the accident occurred when one of the vehicles heading towards the North, dangerously overtook another vehicle and in the process rammed into a vehicle coming from the opposite direction.

The state Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Olakunle Motajo, who confirmed the accident, blamed it on dangerous driving.

He said the accident involved a Peugeot 806 vehicle with registration number JBY 84 XA and an articulated vehicle with registration number QFB 108 QC.

The sector commander said six people were involved in the accident, adding that corpses of the deceased have been deposited at the Okene General Hospital.
