45,000 students benefit in 2013 Kogi Busary Scholarship

The Kogi state government has approved the sum of One hundred and Seventy Five Million Nara for immediate payment of scholarship to indigenes in tertiary institutions across the country.

In a statement issued by the Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Mr. Jacob Edi to Kogi state Governor, Captain Idris Wada started that the approval followed a meeting between the Governor Captain Idris Wada and Scholarship Board at Government House Lokoja.

The statement added that the approval was an indication of government’s commitment to the educational development of the state.

The statement therefore enjoined beneficiaries to remain committed to their academic programmes while government on its part will ensure their welfare.

About 45,000 Kogi students in various tertiary institutions in the country are expected to benefit.
