Abba Yola: We won’t interfere in Okey Emordi’s Kano Pillars job

Management of the Kano Pillars Football Club has pledged it would not interfere with the job if it’s new Technical Adviser, Okey Emordi.
The Chairman of the club, Abba Yola stated this while unveiling board members at the club’s secretariat in Kano.
Yola, while revealing the tall-task needed to be achieved by Emordi, charged the new Technical adviser to ensure that Kano Pillars win this year’s CAF Championship, 2013/2014 Nigeria Premier League and Federation Cup.
He advised him to assess the qualification of the other coaches in the team and work with one that meets requirements of League Management Company (LMC), Confederation of African Football (CAF) and that of Federation of International Football Association (FIFA).
He described Emordi appointment as huge bargain for the club and assured him the support of the board at all time.
“We are happy to have Emordi (Okey) in charge of our team. We’ve agreed not to interfere in his job as a coach and expected him to bring home a lot of trophies for the people of Kano. The choice of Emordi was a good one for us, government and supporters of the club.
“We will provide him every logistics required to success at the club. We signed him to help us to win all the trophies that we won and others that eluded us in the 2013. I’ve told him to work with any of the coaches club in accordance with LMC, CAF and FIFA’s regulations,” he noted.
In a response, Okey Emordi thanked the board and the government of Kano state for been “given the chance” and “pledged to achieve the club’s desired success and justify the confidence repose in him.”
