Abdullahi Biffo replaces Fatai Osho as Kogi United Coach
The management of Kogi United FC of Lokoja has appointed Abdullahi Bidemi Biffo, as the new head coach of the team to replace sacked head coach Fatai Osho.
A statement signed by the chairman of the club, Abdul Adama, said that Biffo’s appointment had been ratified by the Nigeria National League (NNL) Board and took effect from May 1.
He said that Osho, who had been on an indefinite suspension, had his contract finally terminated on April 30.
He said that Biffo who inspired Giwa FC of Jos to their first ever promotion to the Nigeria Premier League last season would work with other members of the technical crew to enhance the performance of the Wada Boys in the ongoing NNL season.
Adama thanked Osho for his service to the club and wished him good luck in his future endeavours.
Meanwhile, Kogi United will resume their second half of the season campiagn with home clash with TEAP FC of Abuja who defeated them 1-0 in Abuja in an NNL week 15 encounter.
The team is currently in the ninth position of Division A of the NNL with 22 points from 15 matches, with seven wins, seven losses and one draw at the end of the first stanza of the season.
