Pillars finished third with seven points at the Super Four tournament held in Abuja before their one-week training tour to Ghana where they held Accra Hearts of Oak to a 2-2 draw before beating Ghana U-23 national team 1-0.

Ganjude, who is also the chairman of the Kano Pillars’ continental committee, said the gesture was part of his motivational package to the club urging them to make the country proud in their Caf Champions League campaign.

Reacting to this largesse, technical adviser of the club Okey Emordi thanked the deputy governor promising his side will justify the confidence reposed in the team.
