Acting INEC chair constitutes 14 standing committees

Acting Chairperson of the Independent National Commission (INEC), Amina Bala Zakari, yesterday approved the re-constitution of INEC’s 14 standing committees.
According to INEC bulletin 755 released yesterday in Abuja, this is sequel to a memo signed by Secretary to the Commission, Mrs. Augusta C. Ogakwu, saying the committees are expected to commence operation 1 July, 2015.
The committees are: Appointment, Promotion and Disciplinary (APDC): Amb. Lawrence Nwuruku, Chairman; Amb. M.A. Wali, member; Dr. Chris O. Iyimoga, member. Planning, Monitoring and Strategy (PM&SC): Dr. Chris O. Iyimoga, Chairman; Prof. M.A. Salau, member; Amb. M.A. Wali, member. Information and Voter Education/Outreach and Partnership: Dr. Chris O. Iyimoga, chairman; Amb. M.A. Wali, member; Amb. Lawrence Nwuruku, member. Health and Welfare: Dr. S. Abdulkadir Oniyangi, chairman; Amb. M.A. Wali; Prof. M.A. Salau, member.
Operations and Logistics: Dr. Chris O. Iyimoga, chairman; Amb. Lawrence Nwuruku, member; Amb. M.A. Wali member. Estate, Works and Transport: Amb. M.A. Wali, chairman; Amb. Lawrence Nwuruku, member; Dr. Chris O. Iyimoga, member.
Election and Party Monitoring: Amb. M.A. Wali, chairman; Dr. Chris O. Iyimoga; Prof. M.A. Salau, member. Board of Survey and Technical Equipment Acquisition: Amb.
