Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has ended his goal drought after scoring in Sivasspor’s 2-1 Turkish Cup victory over Arnavutkoy.
It was Musa’s maiden goal for the club and only his second start of the season.
Quoted after the match, Musa said “I’m delighted to get off the mark for this great club.”
The 31-year-old doubled Sivasspor’s lead just before the half hour mark, tapping in from close range.
It was his first goal since netting for former side Fatih Karagümrük back in February 2022.
The strike helped Servet Cetin’s side to the third round victory despite a late consolation for Arnavutkoy.
Musa will hope to build on ending his drought as he looks to play a bigger role for Sivasspor this campaign.
