Ahmed Musa nets brace in CSKA Moscow 6-0 win

Nigeria striker Ahmed Musa was on target twice for CSKA Moscow in their 6-0 win against Kuban Krasnodar in a Week 13 Russia Premier League encounter on Saturday.

The former VVV Venlo of Norway star who had scored a brace to inspire in Nigeria’s 3-1 victory over Sudan, which was the Super Eagles’ first victory in the 2015 AFCON qualifiers in four games.

Musa opened the scoring in the 13th minute slotting the ball past Kransnodar goalkeeper, Clinton Irwin after he was played through on goal by Roman Eremenko, who later stretched the lead to 2-0 in the 17th minute.

Ivan Armas scored an own-goal to gift Moscow the third in the 69th minute, before Musa grabbed his second brace with less than 20 minutes to end the game thanks to a solo pass from Georgi Milanov.

The brace was Musa’s second of the season after the first against Rostrov which take the score to 4-0 in favour of CSKA.

Seyduo Doumbia scored twice in space of five minutes of the 90 with assists from Ahmed Musa and Bibras Natcho respectively to make it 6-0 at regulation time.

With this feat, the Nigerian has now scored six goals this season while his club remains second on the Russian Premier League log with 24 points – two behind leaders Zenith St. Petersburg from 13 matches.
