Amaechi, Okorocha’s Presidential Ambition in Pieces with APC Zoning Formular

The Rivers and Imo State Governors, Rotimi Amaechi and Rochas Okorocha have suffered another major political set back as their hope of picking the vice presidential ticket of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2015 general elections has been sealed by the new arrangement of the party leadership.
In the party’s zoning arrangement, the South-South geopolitical zone where Governor Amaechi comes from has been given the National chairmanship of the APC, which effectively rules out the zone from any bigger elective political office on the party’s platform.

The North Central and South East Zones where APC claimed that they have few supporters and little electoral chance in 2015, were allocated with minor offices of Publicity and Organising secretaries.

The Party is still looking at the option of Buhari/Tinubu or Kwankwaso and any South West Christian as his Vice presidential candidate for the February, 2015 Election.
