Army Force Remembrance Day: Gov Wada increases Ex-servicemen Subventions by 50%

The Kogi state Governor, Captain Idris Wada has increased the subventions from the state government to the Kogi state Chapter of the Nigeria Legion of Ex-Servicemen by 50%.soldierss

The Kogi State Governor made theis known while making a personal donation of N1Million naira to Lunch the Emblem for the Year 2014 Armed Force Remembrance Day Celebration held at Government House Lokoja.

Captain Wada noted that the current security challenges facing the nation is quite alarming and worrisome, hence the need for the stakeholders in the sector to join hands with government at all levels to tackle the ugly development.

As he urged Ex-Servicemen across the country to bring their past experiences to bear in contributing towards the safety and security of the nation.

The governor also promised to provide the Legion with. Suitable office accommodation and functional vehicle for its operations before the end of the year just as he appealed to the people of the state to donate generously in support of the families of our fallen heroes who sacrificed their lives for the unity of the nation in particular and the World in general.

The governor described the Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration as a unique universal event to honour our fallen heroes who paid supreme prize to quarantee our freedom, peace and liberty.
