Bako FC of Lokoja Unviels Club Logo, Allaydey harps on football enterprise

National Vice President of Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON), Hon. Alhaji Mustapha Allahdey has called on club proprietors across the country to adopt marketing strategies needed to attract football gains.

Allahdey said this at an occasion of the logo unveiling of Bako Football Club which coincided with the fifth year anniversary of the late former Kwara State Permanent Secretary of Education, Chief Theophilus Walter Babajide Bako, yesterday in Lokoja.

While extolling the late Chief Bako, Allahdey, who chaired the occasion described him as a philanthropist, socialist, who touched many lives in the state and admitted he was a benefactor.

The late Chief T.W.D. Bako who was the former Dallahtu of Lokoja, served as the secretary of the Movement of the creation of Kogi State and regarded as one of the founding fathers of the state which was created in 1991.

On behalf of the family, a Bishop Elect, Reverend TED Bako of Gospel Ministries International Church admonished clubs owners in the state to embrace ideas necessary to create wealth through football.

Earlier, Honourable Moses Bako, who is the chairman of Bako FC appreciated the presence of all and sundry at the occasion, explaining that the motive behind the logo is to improve the standard of the club and repositioning the team.

Bako, who also doubles as the Senior Special Adviser of Sports to Lokoja Local Government Area Council, assured the team of more laudable initiatives and stated readiness to partner the public and private partnership to improve the club’s fortune.

The Chairman of Confluence Queens Supporters Club, also announced that plans have already been concluded to establish a female football team for Bako FC.

In a response, Babatunde James, who spoke on behalf of the players of Bako FC, expressed gratitude to the club proprietor, guests present and promised to give their best to raising the image of the club.

Bako Football Club are currently second on the log in the ongoing 2013/2014 Lokoja Football League season, just two points behind leaders, Kabawa United.
