Balogun wins UniLag Chess Heights Monthly Tourney

Femi Balogun on Saturday emerged as the winning of this month edition of Chess Heights Monthly the University of Lagos.

Oluwole Oladele, Roland Dieyi, Seun Odiase, Abimbola Osunfuyi and Olamide Ajibowo tied the second to the sixth position. The seventh prize was jointly won by Sulaimon Osunkoya and Taiwo Folorunsho.

Thirty-one players took part in the tournament.

The success of the event was largely dependent on the support of Abejide Ayodele, Yinka adewole, Leye Afolayan, Bunmi Alo and Bayo Opadeyi. The Lagos Island Local Government Chairman, Wasiu Sanni Eshinlokun, also supported the competition.

The next Chess Heights Monthly has been fixed for April 5 at the University of Lagos.
