Bayer Leverkusen sporting director, Simon Rolfes has applauded Nigeria international, Nathan Tella for his bravery since joining the club in the summer.
The Nigeria winger joined the recently crowned German champions from Southampton last summer and fell behind the pecking order of Jonas Hoffman and Jeremie Frimpong.
Despite the challenges encountered after his move to the Bay Arena, the Super Eagles forward was able to shake it off to become fans favourite.
Rolfes heaped praises on the forward for stabilizing his career despite a late entry into the club at the last summer.
The Leverkusen chief hailed the 24 year old contributions to the title winning club which will have immense success to his career.
“Nathan Tella came late in the transfer window in August and he needed time to adapt. He was always ambitious to develop himself and also to give good energy to the team and towards the team,” Rolfes was quoted by TalkSport.
” Now he’s getting much more minutes than at the beginning of the season. That’s also a success story for himself and also for the team.”
Tella has made seven assists and scored 12 goals in all competitions this season.
