Super Falcons trio of Ishola, Gift Otuwe and Esther Sunday shined for Minsk, while compatriot Onome Ebi was missing in the Belarus’ Cup champions’ squad for the match.

Zorka knew victory would put them level on points with Minsk and they got the opener through Diana Tropnikova in the 2nd minute of the battle royale as three points separating both sides on match day.

The turn of events early in the game was clearly unexpected for Minsk who could not find the back of the net until the 34th minute of the first half. And it was an expected source that delivered the magic.

Ishola curled the ball into the far top corner from an acute angle remix of her super goal at the 2006 FIFA U20 World Cup match against Canada.

Ten minutes into the second half the visitors were in front, Ishola distinguished herself once again beating goalkeeper Natalia Voskobovich.

The scoreline remained at 2-1 until the 79th minute before Anastasia Linnik’s unexpected long-range shot sailed past goalkeeper Catherine Miklashevich.

Despite all the efforts to score the winning goal before the end of the match Roman Levitsky’s wards failed.
