Benue Group warns PDP chairman over interference
The Igede Youth in Politics (IYP) have warned the Benue state chairman of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), Dr Emmanuel Agbo to desist from meddling in the local politics of the Igede nation.
The group alleged that Agbo was interfering in their local politics under the guise of settling political quarrels even though there was none in the area.
In a press statement signed by Amogo Oleju and Ode Ikpe, president and secretary respectively, the youths berated the chairman and urged him to first put his home local government, Okpokwu in order before venturing to poke into the affair of Igede people.
The group added that Agbo actions amounted to seeking cheap popularity using the residence of late political big wig, Ogiri Ajene to hold meetings with a few unknown politicians in the locality.
While also frowning at the anti-party activities of the said suspected politicians, the youths pledged to remain united and focused in the political development of Igede land in the Benue south senatorial district.
