Brazil 2014: Roger Milla Rejects German coach for Cameroon
Ex-Cameroon international Roger Milla has said he does not want German coach Volker Finke to lead the country’s senior national team, the Indomitable Lions, to the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
Cameroon, one of the five African teams heading to the World Cup, is in Group A which also comprises Brazil, Mexico and Croatia.
“You should prepare yourself well in the face of such opposition. And this preparation starts with the hiring of a good manager,” Milla told PANA here Thursday.
According to him, Finke does not have what it takes to take the Lions to Brazil.
Since taking charge of the Indomitable Lions on 2 June, Finke has been widely criticised over his choice of players, among others.
Under the coach, the Indomitable Lions have recorded two victories, three draws and one loss in six matches.
Cameroon opens its World Cup campaign against Mexico on 12 June, before playing Croatia on 18 June and then tackling Brazil on 23 June.
