CAF Announces Champions League Fixtures, Dates, Prizes + more
Below are the fixtures for the lucrative mini-league of the final group stage of the 2013 Orange CAF Champions League, holding between July and September across Africa.
It will feature two groups (A and B) with defending Champions Al Ahly drawn in the same group with Zamalek in an Egyptian derby for the second year running.
The two Egyptians giants are in Group A and will meet between 19-21 July in the opening group match with Zamalek playing at home.
During the 19-21 July weekend, 1995 winners Orlando Pirates of South Africa will host AC Leopards of Congo in the other Group A encounter.
In group B, Angolan side, Recreativo de Libolo, will be making their debut in the mini-league phase of the competition when they host last year’s losing finalists, Esperance of Tunisia.
The other group B contestants are Coton Sport of Cameroon and Sewe Sport of Cote d’Ivoire.
The opening games will take place 19-21 July while the last group games will take place 20-22 September.
