Caf Champions League: Enyimba seeks redemption in must-win match against Mamelodi Sundowns

Paul Aigbogun’s Enyimba face Mamelodi Sundowns in their second Caf Champions League game in Petoria on Wednesday as they chase a spot in the Caf Champions League semi-final.

The Peoples Elephants made a false start in their first game against Zamalek bowing 1-0 at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt no thanks to Bassem Morsy’s first half strike. And they must pick a win against the South Africans to boost their chances of reaching the semi-final.

Mamelodi Sundowns have never faced Enyimba in the history of this competition and they would be hoping to breeze past the Peoples Elephants after Caf nullified their points following ES Setif’s disqualification.

The hosts will be without former captain Ramahlwe Mphahlele who joined rivals Kaizer Chief, but would be banking on Tiyani Mabunda and Khama Billiat to get the needed result.
