The qualifiers are AC Léopards of Congo; Al Ahly of Egypt; AS Real Bamako of Mali; ASEC Mimosas and Sewe Sport of Cote d’Ivoire; Coton Sport of Cameroon; Étoile du Sahel of Tunisia and Nkana FC of Zambia.
Each group is played on a home-and-away round-robin basis, with the winners and runners-up from each group advancing to the semi-finals.
