CHAN 2014: Eagles will excel in Abidjan – Agbim Promises Nigerians

chigozie agbimThe African-based Super Eagles captain, Chigozie Agbim has declared he and his teammates are in the right frame of mind to excel against the Ivory Coast in Abidjan on July 27, 2013.

The Eagles goalkeeper made the declaration when the team was guest to the Director General of the National Orientation Agency, NOA, Mike during its training session at the Goal Project site in Abuja on Thursday.

Chigozie assured the NOA leadership and Nigerians that the team will not let the nation down.

The goalkeeper of the Glo Nigeria Premier League club Warrior Wolves will lead his teammates out in Ivory Coast with quest to secure a qualification ticket to the African Nation Championship next year.

Nigeria is yet to qualifier for the continental tournament despite participating in previous two occasions but failed to advance after crashing to Niger and Ghana.

Nigeria defeated their West-African counterpart, Ivory Coast 4-1 at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kaduna in the first leg of the CHAN qualifier.
