CHAN 2014: No Unfit Player’ll Make Eagles Final List – Keshi

Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi with three weeks to the kick off of the 2014 Championship for African Nations in South Africa has said only players who are fit will be selected in the final 23-man list.

The tournament kicks off in South Africa on January 11, and Nigeria will be making its first appearance.

The team of 30 players is currently training in Abuja ahead of the championship.

At the moment, not even the established players like Chigozie Agbim, Sunday Mba, Solomon Kwambe, Gambo Mohammed, Benjamin Francis and Azubuike Egwuekwe are sure of shirts as Keshi made it clear that only the fittest and the best as shown in training and practice matches will be picked for the tournament.

23 players will make the final list to represent Nigeria at the event.
