CHAN 2014: Phase 1 Tickets Go on Sale

Less than 42chan2014 days to the kick-off of the 3rd Edition of the African Nations Championship which starts on 11 January till 1 February 2014 in South Africa.

The Local Organising Committee (LOC) announced that tickets went on sale to the public and corporate at computicket and called upon the general public to heed the call to buy tickets during the discount period and enjoy huge incentives.

Already the LOC promised VIP treatment for those football lovers who are first to purchase their tickets on the first day and could stand a chance of either being invited to the Opening Ceremony in Cape Town or attend the first match at the respective host cities, as VIP guests of the LOC.

Announcing the opening of ticket sales, Mr. Mbebe said “There is no better way to kick-start 20 years of democracy in South Africa other than through football, which has proven over time that even in diversity, social cohesion is possible. We are now calling upon all football loving Africans, and South Africans in particular, to come together under one common purpose and enjoy African football brilliance and celebrate Africa’s Home Champions. We also have made it possible for everyone to afford tickets for Orange CHAN 2014 which go on sale for as low as R40. So, all we can say today is ‘ithikithi esandleni’ Orange CHAN 2014 is here”.

Those purchasing tickets between 29 November and 5 January 2014 will enjoy the following applicable Phase 1 Discounts

Orange CHAN 2014, to be hosted in South Africa from 11 January to 1 February 2014, takes place in Cape Town for Group A and B at Cape Town Stadium and Athlone Stadium, respectively, and in Mangaung for Group C at the Free State Stadium, as well as in Polokwane for Group D at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium, as per the following Match Schedule:
