Christopher Danjuma calls-up 35 for Olympic qualifier against Equatorial Guinea

Interim head coach of the Super Falcons, Christopher Danjuma has called 35 players to camp as the team begins preparations for next month’s Olympic Games 2016 qualifier with Equatorial Guinea.

The first leg qualifier comes up on July 18 in Port Harcourt.

The players have been told to report to the CJ Planet Hotel, Area 1, Abuja, on Wednesday, July 1st ahead of the team’s departure to Port Harcourt for the first leg of the third round of qualifiers, with the return leg coming up on August 2nd in Bata.

Coach Danjuma has recalled Sweden based defender and striker, Faith Ikidi and Sarah Michael. Joy Jegede, Sandra Chii-Chii, Osarenoma Igbinova, Tochukwu Oluechi and some of the usual suspects that made it to the FIFA Women’s World Cup finals in Canada.

The players are goal keepers Precious Dede, Ibubeleye Whyte, defenders Onome Ebi, Osinachi Ohale, Ngozi Ebere, Evelyn Nwabuoku, Blessing Edoho and Josephine Chukwunonye, midfielders Halimat Ayinde, Onyinyechi Ohadugha, Ngozi Okobi and Cecilia Nku, and forwards Asisat Oshoala, Francisca Ordega, Esther Sunday, Desire Oparanozie and Loveth Ayila.
