Coalition Group Backs Kogi Election Result

The Coalition of Middle Belt Groups has thrown its weight behind Alhaji Usman Ododo’s victory in the Kogi gubernatorial polls won under the All Progressives Congress banner.

Coalition convener Dr Omale Ben Amedu, a former APM Deputy Governorship candidate, described the result as a true reflection of the people’s will.

Quoted in reports, Amedu said “The outcome of the elections in Kogi State is an expression of the people’s wishes.”

He noted major parties avoided legal challenges due to INEC’s transparent conduct and dismissed attempts to undermine the process.

The Coalition condemned claims by the Lokoja Election Petition Tribunal Secretary as lacking merit and accused her of following a scripted narrative.

It urged stakeholders to unite in support of the elected governor for fostering development. The group also called for improved INEC facilities while commending the commission’s role in Kogi’s polls.
