Commissioner Assures Primary Schl Teachers on Minimum Wage Payment

Kogi State Commissioner for Education, Mrs Grace Elebiyo has assured primary school teachers of Governor Idris Wada led adminisgov-idris-wada-150x150tration’s commitment to implement the national minimum wage for teachers in the state soon.

Mrs Elebiyo gave the assurance while declaring open the National Executive Council meeting of Association of primary school head teachers of Nigeria (AOPSHON) held at Kefas multipurpose hall, Lokoja.

The commissioner, who was represented by a director in the ministry, Abdulkareem Ozigi, noted that all the constraints militating against the implementation of the wage was being rectified through the on-going screening exercise.

In his opening remarks, the chairman of the occasion, Barrister Henry Ojuola described teachers as tools for societal change, adding that they are the life-wire and foundation of any successful nation.

Ojuola called on teachers to be upright and be more dedicated to their duties to enable them enjoy the blessing of their profession.
