Commissioner, Patience Mameh Urges Kogi women to be Self-established

ekiti womenKogi State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs Patient Mameh said she want Kogi women to be self established by not asking for too much from their husbands.

Commissioner told newmen in Lokoja that she want Kogi women to be self employed by giving out loan to women that are not working in the state.

She said the loan opportunity for women will cut across the twenty one local governments of kogi state, of which fifty women will benefits from each local government.

Mameh said the loan will help to empower women most especially in the rural area to boost their standard of living.

“The loan will be giving out to the 21 local governments in the state so that it will reach the people that are seriously in need of it,” she said.

Mameh further said the money will be refunded to the ministry after a year of the loan grant.

She further said their are other programs for women empowerment like skill acquisition for women in the state.

Commissioner employ the women to be self reliance and do what they know how to do well and they should also take their work serious.

She also said she has many things in plan for kogi women but their is financial crisis recently but she will still put in her best to make the women proud
