Costa Rica 2014: Tessy Biawho sure Flamigoes will succeed

Captain of the Flamingoes, Tessy Biawho has described the performance of her teammates as top class, and hailed the team work after they forced the Nigeria U-20 women National team, Flaconets to a 1-1 draw on Saturday.

The Flamingoes’ saw their hopes for victory shattered when Chidinma Edeji’s second half equalizer for the Flaconets cancelled out their early lead which was scored by the team’s captain, Tessy Biawho at the FIFA Goal Project Centre in Abuja.

Thessy expressed confidence that the U-17 side will make Nigerians proud at the World Cup in Costa Rica if they continue to play as in unity and work by the instructions of the technical crew.

“We are happy today (Saturday) with our performance as a team. There was great team work and understanding between us and that was why it was difficult for the Falconets to beat us.

“I’m very optimistic if we (Flamingoes) can carry on playing as a team and playing to the instructions of the coaches, we will do well at the World Cup,” she added.
