Costa Rica 2014: Zambia FA frowns at racist remarks on U17 captain

The Football Association of Zambia wishes to express its disappointment and dismay regarding the unfortunate incident where racist remarks were uttered by a member of the Venezuela Under 17 Girls towards their Zambian counterparts during the Venezuela/Zambia group match on Tuesday.

This happened when Junior Shepolopolo National Soccer Team under seventeen player and captain, Martha Tembo was allegedly racially abused by the captain of Venezuela Lourdes Morena during the game.

The Association as since reported this unfortunate incidence to FIFA through FAZ Vice President, Boniface Mwamelo and Executive Member Lenny Nkhuwa.

The FIFA disciplinary committee has since responded and a hearing will be held soon.
