Crown FC mourns late fan, “Baba Ayeke”

With deep sense of loss and total submission to the Almighty God the Family of Crown Football Club Ogbomoso console with the family Of Pa Matthew Amos Olaniyi popularly known as “Baba Ayeke” whose sad demise occurred early hour of Thursday 12 June 2014,after a protracted illness .

Pa Amos was a staunch supporter of Crown Football club he served and followed the club from inception till his demise,he was at a time the most active and eldest supporter known with Crown Football home and abroad,his last away outing with the club was at ijebu-ode last season,where he was wounded in a free-for-all with Remo fans in 2012/2013 Nigerian National League.

The General Manager of the Club,Alhaji Fatai Olayinka has described his exit as a rude shock and unfortunate development in the life of the club as the club continues her quest in the elite league.

Fatai prayed for the repose of his soul in aljanah firdaus that his shortcomings God would overlook for the numerous good deeds he was able to do while he was around.

According to the family source, the retired Police man cum court bailiff would be interred at Ajaawa the headquarters of Ogo-oluwa Local government area,ogbomoso where the deceased hailed.

Mr. ‘Mattew Ayeke’ was a very humorous and frank person,his sense of humour and humility were among the qualities that endeared him to so many people in Crown Fc especially players and officials;

Ayeke had a special way of talking to players and coaches whenever the turf wanted to proof tough for the boys and such intervention had variously served as great encouragement for victories.

For this reason and many more Pa Matthew will forever be in hearts of many men who encountered him.
