Sport minister, Solomon Dalung has promised to constitute a committee to look into an alleged assault by one of the members of board of the Nigeria Taekwondo Federation on some players.

Dalung made the promise in Lagos during the finals of the 2015 Korean Ambassadors Taekwondo Championships when some players carried placards to protest the insensitivity of the National Sport Commission over their grievances.

He said the players have complained of injustice and manhandling during the All Africa Games.

He added that he will instruct the Director General, National Sport Commission, Alhassan Yakmut to constitute a committee to look into their greivances stating that any one indicted will face the consequences of his/her action.

It will be recalled that The Lagos State Taekwondo Association made a public statement confirming that some of their athletes were assaulted during the All Africa Games (AAG) 2015 camp.

Chairman Lagos State Taekwondo, Jimmy Ogunnowo said two players from Lagos State have shared their experience with them even with evidence of physical bodily harm, which resulted to their non participation of Team Lagos at the 2015 Chika Chukwumerije Sports Foundation (CCSF)
