Dambe Warriors League SuperFight 03 guarantees high stakes moment in Abuja

Dambe Warriors League (DWL) is excited to announce that the eagerly anticipated SuperFight 03 will be held at the Velodrome in Abuja on 15 September 2024.

The premier sports brand dedicated to promoting Nigeria’s ancient martial art of Dambe said the announcement comes on the heels of a formal endorsement by the Ministry of Arts and Culture, which signified a watershed moment for the company.

Anthony Okeleke, co-founder of Dambe Warriors stated, “Abuja has always been a wonderful host city for Dambe. The Velodrome is an amazing venue that will accommodate SuperFight 03 phenomenally. We anticipate a sell-out crowd of approximately 10,000 spectators and are confident that the event will not only entertain, but will also educate millions about this important Nigerian cultural tradition.”

The Season 03 Grand Finale will comprise 9 Dambe bouts including three championship fights and six promotional battles.

In the Lightweight championship, Season 02 champion YAR MAGE will face off against rookie NASSARAWA.

Both warriors put up strong performances throughout the regular season, with MAGE finishing with a 4-1 win-loss record and NASSARAWA right on his heels with a 3-2 record.

For the Middleweight throne, the formidable SHAABAN will go toe-to-toe with newcomer DOGON MESSI.

In what is arguably a matchup of greatest athletes in Dambe today, these two warriors are sure to put on a show that will delight the thousands of onlookers in attendance and the hundreds of thousands watching at home.

As evenly matched as they come, both warriors finished Season 03 with a record of 4-1.

Among the Heavyweight contenders, viral sensation ALI KANIN BELLO (“AKB”) will collide with number one ranked YANSANDA for the title.

Despite a better record during the Season, YANSANDA will go into the fight as a heavy underdog to AKB, who has amassed millions of views on social media, showcasing his formidable physique and punishing persona.

In addition to these three title fights, DWL will stage six Promotional Fights.

The matchups are some of the most exciting of the evening because each winner earns a spot in Season 04 of Dambe Warriors League.
