Dolphins, Rangers Clash in Sapele Super-8 Tournament Final Sunday

By Agbonifa Obaseki emeka uzorAll is now set for the finals of the Colephens preparatory season soccer finals, which will hold inside the main bowl of the Sapele township stadium in Delta state on Sunday 15th December 2013.

The finals which would have been played a week ago was postponed till Sunday as the organizers explained that they want to showcase an exciting finals with the full presence of the Executive Governor of Delta state in attendance.

Speaking further Mr. Stephen Cole the Director of Colephens Sports Academy who is the organizer of the event said, “We are now set for the big finals on Sunday. We kept it till now because we have to sort out some logistics and also reach out to our amiable Sports-loving Governor Dr. Emmanuel Eweta
Uduaghan and other Stakeholders in the sports industry to try and grace the all important finals between two great teams in the Nigeria Premier league, Rangers and Dolphins who will parade the youthful crop of stars recruited and tested during this tournament”.

Cole, a former NPA, and Dolphins FC Captain had earlier said that his aim of organizing this tournament has been achieved because Nigerian club sides don’t always embark on proper Pre season training before the league starts which this tournament provided.

He also noted that youthful talented players were also discovered, which will be nurtured for the club sides and National teams.

Eight teams namely Enyimba FC of Aba, Bayelsa United FC of Yenagoa, Rangers FC of Enugu, Dolphins FC of Port Harcourt, Warri Wolves FC, Ejele FC Sapele, J. Atete FC Warri and Colephens Sports Academy took part in the one week tournament.

Highlights of the finals include penalty kicks by the governor and other dignitaries which will produce a finalist that will also take home a winning prize. There will also be musical interludes as well as prizes for winning teams.
