Drug Trafficking: Two Nigerians arrested in Togo

Two Nigerian nationals were arrested within five days at the Lome airport in Togo for alleged drug trafficking on Thursday.

SavidNews gathered from source close the office in charge of combating drug trafficking and money laundering Thursday.

The Nigerians were identified as Nwadike Charles Chidi and Ndubuisi Donatus Nwankwo.

Chidi was arrested after he was found to have ingested 106 capsules of cocaine (1.9kg) while returning from Brazil on 16 July.

For his part, Okonkwo was arrested 21 July after he was found to have ingested 90 cocaine capsules (1.2 kg).

The two suspects are believed to be members of a large drug trafficking syndicate with branches in West Africa and South America.
