An aide of Governor Adams Oshiomhole, Engr. Stanley Dako has been conferred with the Sir Ahmadu Bello Platinum Leadership Award by the Northern Youth Assembly of Nigeria (NYAN) for his exemplary leadership.
Speaking at the award ceremony in Benin City, Speaker, Northern Youth Assembly of Nigeria, Hon. Gideon Obande said the Sir Ahmadu Bello Platinum Leadership Award is for a purpose-driven, credible and exemplary person to serve as role models for the younger generation.
“We are here today in our unrepentant and fervent belief in the victory of light over darkness, triumph of meritocracy and acceptability of logic over irrationality. Our presence here today gives credence and testimony to this assertion and we are indeed elated to identify with our distinguished awardee because we believe that indentifying with you is like indentifying with competence and performance , which is what our great association stands for’’ he noted.
Hon Obande who led other executive member of the association to Benin City stated that they have found a true leader in the recipient.
“You have shown us through your unprecedented achievements in the infrastructural development of Edo State that some leaders can still be trusted if given a chance. We are here to celebrate focus, determination, doggedness and resilience. Your resolute and uncompromising approach in making sure that the youth get their rightful place is well commendable. These uncommon achievements remain a source of encouragement to the younger generation and this heroic act cannot go unnoticed as you have performed creditably well in all spheres of your constitutional assignments and this deserve to be acceleration, he noted.
He further disclosed that by the virtue of this award, Engr. Dako has automatically been inducted into the Northern Youth of Assembly Nigeria Platinum Hall of fame which explains that in all future endeavor, whether socially or political he will always have the unalloyed loyalty and support of the members.
Responding Engr. Dako, Managing Director, Edo State Rapid Response Agency, thanked the Northern Youth Assembly of Nigeria for the award, saying that the award should go to the governor of the state.
“Whatever we are doing, we are working under the governor. I have never worked with a man so passionate about his job, putting you under pressure to get result. There is nothing I could also have achieved without the Governor. To choose me in South all the way from the North shows that our nation still has a future”, he noted.
