Enyimba can beat anybody, says Femi Thomas
The Aba Elephants goalkeeper Femi Thomas is confident his team will go all the way in winning the Federation Cup trophy while boasting his remains the team to beat in this season’s Federation Cup.
Enyimba will on Wednesday face Nasarawa United in Abeokuta and the former Akwa United first choice goalkeeper says they are in a good frame of mind to play in the final of the tournament.
He told Goal that everything has worked for them this season and they will maintain the momentum until the end of the competition.
“We are clearly the favourites and the team to beat in the Federation Cup. We have played some of the best in the tournament and the game against Nasarawa United will not be an exception,” said Thomas.
“After the game against Shooting Stars Sport Club in Abuja, a lot of people expressed surprise that we have a good team. All I can say is that we have peaked at the right time.
“I am not underrating Nasarawa United because in this competition anything can happen. We have played them two times this season.
“When you look at the League table, you will realise that we have greatly improved. It will be a tough game but I am sure that we will triumph,” Thomas boasted.
The winner of this game will meet the winners of Lobi Stars vs Akwa Starlets.
