Enyimba’s Mfon Udoh & Dolphins’ Emem Eduok rule out NPFL stay

Enyimba’s Mfon Udoh and Dolphins’ Emem Eduok have separately stated that they are unlikely to play in the Nigeria elite league when the 2014/2015 reopens in March.

The former Akwa United pair, who were stand outs after both netted a total of 26 and 25 goals respectively last season, said their sights are set on Europe when the 2015 January transfer window reopens.

Udoh, who set a new league goal record of 23 and won Federation Cup at Enyimba, hinted he is looking forward to fresh challenge after his impressive stint in the Nigeria league.

“I will not be playing league next season. I give all the I’m hoping to play in one of the top class league in Europe. There are offers for me from Norway, Isreal and others. Though, i will fancy playing in Spain,” Udoh told Goal.

“Where I will play depends on where the best offer comes from. I wish all the attackers which is going to be playing in the league next season will work hard and break my record,” he said after his record of 41 goals in two consecutive season at two different clubs.

Eduok, who scored the decisive winning goal for Super Eagles against Ghana at the inaugration match in the Akwa Ibom Stadium, insists the time is right to seek a bigger challenge.

“I’ve played four seasons and I think It will be right for me to move ahead and seek a difference challenge. When I decide, you [Goal] will know about it,” Eduok told Goal.

“I have many offers from Europe. I’m yet to decide on where I will be playing next. I don’t think of playing in the Nigeria league next season,” he concluded.
