Chairman of the League Management Company, Shehu Dikko has told SavidNews that a top club abroad has contacted him in demand for the services of Warri Wolves striker Etebo Ogenekaro.

Earlier the Warri Wolves forward had announced that he will not be playing in the Nigeria topflight when the new season resumes on February 21.

Excited Dikko dropped the hint on Thursday moments after he watched Etebo named Africa’s Most Promising Player of The Year at the Caf Awards in Abuja.

Despite much persuasion, the NFF 2nd vice president failed to give further details, insisting that the club will be known in next few weeks.

“Few weeks ago, I received a call from a very big foreign club who that they want Etebo (Oghnekaro),” Dikko told SavidNews.

“I cannot disclose now but in few weeks we will know. One of the best club in the World. They are not asking him to come for trails, they ask him to come and sign.

“And I’ve passed the message to his club. I also asked them to do the right thing about it,” he concluded.

The Nigeria U23 star finished top scorer at the 2015 African U23 Championship in Senegal after he helped the Seasiders secure a Caf Champions League ticket as NPFL runners-up.
