FCE Okene Gets new Chairman of Deans and Directors

Hussain Abdulkarim has been elected as the new Chairman of Committee of Deans and Directors of Federation College of Education, Okene.
He is a chief lecturer in Hausa department of the College and the Dean, School of Languages for a second term.
Born in July 1962, Alhaji Husain hails from Gundawa in Kankara Local Government Area of kastina state. He attended Government Secondary School, Funtua 1975 -1980, College of Advanced Studies, Zaria 1980 – 1983, Bayero University, Kano 1983 – 1986 and Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria 2003 – 2005.
He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Hausa from Bayero University, Kano in 1986 and Master Degeree in Hausa from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 2005. Alhaji Hussain Abdulkarim also holds a Diploma in Computer Science.
Prior to his re-election as Dean, School of Languages, Alhaji Hussain Abdulkarim served in various administrative capacities in the College as follows: Head of Hausa Department (2004-2010), Member, College Academic Board (2004 – till date), member of School of Languages Welfare Committee (2007 – 2011), and Dean, school of Languages since 2011.
Alhaji Hussain is an astute scholar cum researcher who has to his credit over twenty eight (28) journal articles and conferences paper. He has published over 2 books. He was at various times an External Exanminer to FCT College of Education, Zuba and Kogi State College of Education, Ankpa, as
well as a moderator for Hausa UTME JAMB.
He is a member of various professional bodies, including; Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), Association for the Promotion of Academic Excellency in tertiary Institution in Nigeria (APAETIN), and Primary and Tertiary Teachers Association of Nigeria (PATTEAN), and National Association for Research Development (NARD), among others.
Currently, he is the Vice Chairman (Amir) Muslim Community of the Federation College of Education, Okene. He is happily married and blessed with Children.
