FCE Okene Provost Inaugurates New Deans and Directors

The Provost of Federal College of Education, Okene Associate Professor Iyel Ajayi has inaugurated the elected Deans and appointed Directors of the College recently, for two years tenure with effect from January 2014.
The Provost noted that many Deans were re-elected while all the Directors were reappointed.
The re-elected Deans were Alhaji Hussain Abdulkarim (School of Languages), Dr Steen S. Okpanachi (School of Education), and Mrs Christian Nwaneri (Arts and Social Sciences), while the new Deans were Dr. Sheidu Omeiza Momoh (School of Sciences) and Mr Frank N. Ugwoke (School of Vocational Education).
The re-appointed Directors were Mr Ramoni O. Afolabi (College Advancment), Mr Joseph Suleiman (Academic Planning & Statistics), Mr Paul B. Iluromi (Examination), Dr Fatimah Usman (Research and Publications), Mr Godwin Oyibo (Undergraduate Studies), Mr Autsin Uzoma Nwosu (Student Affairs), Mallam Jibril Musa (ICT), and Mr Raphael Ijagbemi (Centre of Continuing Education) with the last two were swapped.
The Provost congratulated both the out-going and incoming Deans and Directors, to the outgoing for their successful delivery of service during their tenure and to incoming, for the mark of confidence reposed in their ability to lead and charged them not to betray that confidence.
The Provost noted that the Deans and Directors maintain strategies leadership positions in the College and by implication and extension of the college management.
He further charged them to continue to represent the College well in all respects and should not compromise discipline, hard work and transparency. He assured them of full support and goodwill of College management and prayed for divine wisdom, strength and guidance for them to accomplish their mandates.
In his response, the Acting Chairman of Committee of Deans and Directors who is also the Director of College Advancement, Mr Ramoni O. Afolabi, thanked the Provost and the entire management for the confidence reposed in the m, pledging their continued loyalty to his administration.
He added that they would not disappoint the provost but continue to support him to realize his good dreams of taking the College to the next level.
