FCT inaugurates five-man committee for 2016 SWAN Social Week

Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN FCT Chapter has officially inaugurated a five-man committee for 2016 SWAN Social week with a charge to plan and organise a befitting event for its members.

The committee commissioned to go ahead and explore avenues for much expected successes has Mr. Ezeocha Nzeh of Authority Newspapers as the chairman while Ikenna Okonkwo of Nigerian Pilot Newspapers will serve as Secretary.

Chris Molokwu of Cool, Wazobia and Nigeria Info, Amar Ignis of Radio Nigeria as well as Francis Achi are also members of the committee.

Inaugurating the committee inside FCT SWAN Secretariat located inside Old Parade Ground in Abuja, Chairman Comrade Kayode Adeniyi represented by Vice Chairman Comrade Ndubueze Chidoka charged committee members to come up with innovative ideas with deliverable possibilities.

While explaining the rationale behind constituting the committee earlier than the usual period and assuring of the support of the association, the chairman added; “This is perhaps the first time in history that the association will be allowing its members to wholly plan its programme. We assure of maximum support and we believe you what it takes for this year’s SWAN week to surpass the successes of the previous ones.”

Responding, Committee chairman, Ezeocha assured of their willingness to carry out a well planned event and called for all hands to be on deck in a bid to ensure holistic accomplishment.
