Nigeria Women Football League side Rivers Angels FC of Port Harcourt have made it through to their third Federation Cup Final after beating Pelican Stars of Calabar 2-0 in the semi-final tussle played in Abuja on Wednesday afternoon.
Evelyn Nwabuoku gave the Angels the lead in the 56th minute after Amanze Aighewi failed to find the back of the net.
A hapless Alaba Jonathan just looked on as the ball whizzed past her.
Veteran striker Stella Mbachu came from the bench to give them their second goal in the 88th minute.
Pelican Stars had hoped to feature in the final but the hope has been dashed by a determined Port Harcourt side.
This would be the third time the Angels will qualify for the final of the Federation Cup.
Last year, they beat Inneh Queens 5-4 on penalties to clinch the crown.
